Mamma Mia

ayayaya....first day of school turned out to become a question mark for everybody. Cant register anything because system cant be updated. IPS was swarmed with foreign and local students registering, so poor lil Becky had a lot of waiting to do. SO, after a long wait, we couldn't wait any longer because the fact that Becks had a class at 12pm, mine at 3pm. So walk from IPS to Cultural Center.

When we got there, the apparently many students were there, asking class and stuff. Apparently All Music tech related courses starts next week, since the lecturer is occupied with the big band matters. My ethnomusicology subjects too, are to put on hold till the next week because the Lecturer is out station in Jogjakarta, one theater lecturer cant start his class because he was been held quarantined. SO, there goes the week. And still today no sign of courses updated....I hope there will be some news tomorrow.

To my horror, Yaya also had the same problem. According to her, UiTM was much more tedious to do registration. Nothing gained today as well, in fact they were soo confused and tired that by 10 am they just left...more details, ask the gal yourself.

And so Wanie too had almost the same problem, so, I cant say all arts school are bad right??? anyhow the'll be a concert this weekend at Dewan Tunku Chanselor this weekend. Its free but you need to RSVP i suppose. Guest includes Mr. Razif. I hope I can make it, since its the second good thing happened this week other then acceptance for the Government scholarship. haha, I so hope tomorrow will bring greater things and that masters here would give another perspective in what i learnt in USM

Upside down and bouncing out the celling

I thought today was going to be any other day. I woke up early it hopes that we'll make it to the IKEA sale today. Before that, I thought that we should see Universiti Malaya to gather some information the Masters program. So after breakfast, we went straight to the cultural center. I got interested by the program (since I heard stoopid rumors that there are no mix mode music courses. During the annexe gallery live your passion thingy, I found out that they do have mix mode courses. Dissertation only counts 12 units. So after talking with the lecturers there, I decided to give UM a go. (Blekkk, I keep telling myself that I'm not studying local universities anymore but then change my decision)

So my mum kept nagging on that I should do something than nothing (which I am basically doing), so just apply and go ahead with the course. BTW, its only going to be three semesters only. Then meanwhile I can apply for ASTS and then get a scholarship to do PhD. Kau tim, and so I thought. When I went there It was another surprise.

I talked abit with the clerks there and then she passed me to another Clerks. The clerk asked me whether I have submitted my application form, and the answer is no. So she has been explaining to me that the courses ar going to be squeezed to 15 units instead of the 34 units for coursework, and the initial 12 units for dissertation will be 40 units. So, from my point of view, is that they want to give more time for the students to focus on their dissertation. Then the real slap came in. The deadline has been closed. So she made a few calls to IPS and then told me to go get the form right this instant and submit everything by TODAY!!!

I turn into auto mode. I quickly asked my mum to go to IPS, go buy the form and then went back home at Subang. Then going through the particulars, I needed my SPM results. Dang!! its in Alor Star. I taughed I had a copy somewhere, but I searched high and low but no SPM folder thingy. I almost wanted to cry, but my inner self told me that I need to at least get everything else ready and submit everything except for my SPM results. So I took the completed form, took my results, and went to the copier. My mum made a few calls to my auntie that works at Unitar to help certify my stuff. My mum kept calling but had no answer. I tried another uncle in UiTM. No luck either because he can only make it tomorrow. So suddenly my auntie rang and explain everything. So immediately after the copier we went to Kelana Jaya to meet her.

I had never been to unitar. Its in a shopping mall that sounded really cool. It is actually. Its near Giant and very accessible. So of to the post office to make RM30 money order. Its already 3.30 and we hadn't had lunch. So after marking everything, we compiled everything and went straight to UM.

There I waited patiently although my tummy wasn't feeling very happy. Till it was my turn the lady was surprised that I hand in the form. The reason is because the deadline passed and the system is now online. So there are no paper forms involved now. So after stating that I had permission from the school that I can do so they accepted it and told me to submit my SPM results right away. (the soonest is on the 11th where i'll be back in Alor Setar)

So phew!! kautim!! and then we head back, ate something light and went to the apartment. BTW, I thought that USM is much more nicer i guess because its new and that it lookes more organized. Manalah nak same si kucing Apexla katakan...Haha. The agent wanted to bring a client to rent out and hopefully we get a great deal. We had dinner at Carrefour and now I'm typing this post. I'm soo tired and I hope tomorrow we'll make it at the IKEA sale probably....
